By the way, they only look cleaner cause they have 3 light coats of rust-oleum satin black fine texture paint on them and then I used Dupli-color "hot tires" white tire lettering paint for the word. Took 3 coats of that to get them to come out white. BTW, i'm also doing all my exterior trim in this fine texture paint. Comes out very good and has been on most of the trim, including the flaps for the whole summer without any peeling or flaking. We'll see when the cold hits!

It says for metal but, I have a friend who works in a paint factory and he told me that as long as the item is properly prepared, it will work with no problems, especially on a rigid piece like trim. On a side note, catastrophy struck! My 80 year old grandma decided to preheat the oven while my rear flaps were sitting on the stove drying! guess what! Mudflaps don't like heat! LOL. I'll post a pic of the melted flaps.... BTW, anyone got a set of rear flaps for sale?

    Re: Mudflaps......

No, they were already painted and sitting on the stove drying when she turned the oven on. Funny, the rubber melted but the paint stayed nice! i guess this is some good paint if it stands up to the mudflap melting and doesn't flake off!
