I made an intake for my car today. I used the civic air box. The piping and filter were made for an E39 5-series BMW. My dad bought the intake, put it on, then took it right back off because it was "too loud". He gave them to me and told me to put it on my car so thats what I did.

You can see that I had to make a cover for the lid out of plexiglass, and even now it still rubs, as seen from the pictures.

Installed the switch today, with the help of Sabz5150.

Actually I did. There is more torque at lower rpms than before, and it pulls harder than it used to. Its not a gigantic increase, but I can feel it. It works even better when its cold outside, I feel even more gains.

The first day I put it on, it was quiet. In fact it was more quiet than with the stock airbox. Since then, it has become louder. I can hear the "hissing" sound when it sucks up air, and the overall tone of the engine is deeper.

Thanks man. Yeah I like the Blue interior too, its easy to keep clean. But sometimes I think it too much blue.

Man this is an old thread. I can't believe its been almost a year since I lowered my car. The car still looks pretty much the same though. Anyways, thats the Xenon kit. Thanks guys.
