is that me or your camera, but your car looks like it has satin finish. it is not glossy at all.
I like it.
Alex.
man a cat pissed on your car i would have thrown it on someone elses car
paint looks a bit odd, is that jus primer or something, or applied with a roller? looks real good though
i was thinking the same thing kind of a matte finish it does look good not to flashy but not fadedOriginally Posted by shepherd79
my dad and I painted it in our garage with urathane based charcoal grey metallic it was the first paint job we did and we used a cheap sprayer....anything was better than faded out light blue and rust

Looking good!!! Paint looks really good as well, considering you did it yourself for the first time.

i love your paint
yeah i noticed the paint too.. it's not bad but it seems a little flat. did it get waxed at the carwash? like even sealer waxed? waxing it may add depth to it a bit but it still looks clean
looking pretty good
keep up the good work
thanks guys i have waxed it many times myself but have not used sealer wax or anything like that, we did try buffing it but it still came out the same thanks guaynabo sorry i forgot your name but we should have another florida meet

haha camber kits.... i thought about getting prelude arms but first i wanted to see how bad the camber wear was going to be i got new tires and haven't seen excessive wear yet but when i get new rims (either fat fives or ls meshies) i will deff get some camber correction i've got a big list of the stuff i wanna do but first i wanna get headers,a delta 272, 88-89 front bumper so i can put the teg lip i have on, toxico hp shocks and maybe justin strut bars oh yeah and jdm calipers and slotted rotors and prolly sei rear disk conversion last but not least an integra cai

Wow, lotsa orange peel in the paint finish.
Was the paint you used a single stage enamel lacquer, or was it a basecoat/clearcoat?
Either way, you can do a "colorsand" with 1000 grit wet sandpaper and a hard back sanding block. knock down only enough paint to remove the high parts of the orange peel. Then you polish with some 2000 grit wet paper. (remember to keep constant slow flow of water where you are sanding to keep the paper from clogging.) Then you can use some polishing compound like 3M Perfect It III, Then some 3M Swirl Mark Remover, and finally, a good coat of wax. Will shine like a diamond in a goat's ass!!!
Err, figuratively speaking.... Anyway![]()

My compressor is a 60 gallon upright, 220 single phase 6.5 HP motor and cast iron pump. This is about the minimum for painting a car, as the paint sprayer eats up ALOT of CFM.
I use a Snap-On BF700 HVLP Gravity Feed gun, paid a little over $500 for it about eight years ago. Sharpe puts out the same gun but costs less. Mine has a 1.4MM Fluid tip, good for allaround painting.
DO NOT go cheap on the spraygun and air compressor if you plan to paint your car. That is, if you plan to do it right.
