I think I'm going to mount a little orange led in each one, so it is always on, then when i hit the turn signal the other led's light up, so it's brighter.

Here's how you do it. A simple BOSCH Relay (one for each side)

Just use a 2 intensity bulb and it will work fine.

Use the bright bulb for the flasher and the dim bulb for the parking light.

Ive done this mod.
1st I used a brake light bulb, wired the sidemarkers to the low and the blinker to the high
2nd I used just a blinker bulb hooked up to the sidemarker. I burned up the controller after a while.
3rd I used Saturn high beam bulbs (H3?) and I melted the housings (like a candle!)
4th I used the stock setup with a cleared housing and an orange bulb. I wired white LEDs to the sidemarkers. The alternating while/orange effect is sick. In these pics you see the white LEDs in the bumper and sidemarker. THe sidemarker blinker is a standard low watt bulb but it has a red tint on the glass. When the bumper blinker flashes orange the whites turn off with the sidemarker. They are not very bright though.

You probably have to go with dual element light bulb to have both.

Hes correct there only singale filament bulbs lest on my 88 there are.

BUt the side lights are on with the headlights. We call them running lights here stateside. Or maybe parking lights. Its the first click on your light stick.

I always thought it be a great idea to make the orange lights running lights I would think it would take dual filament bulb (like 1157) and socket plus a little wire mod and hook it to the corner lights.

the dual fillament has a golden glow to it, I took some pictures a few years ago but I have to search for them. It looks nice and it's pretty safe for the controller, your blinker speed stays the same... I used a brake lamp plug the only problem is that the plug does not thread correctly into the front blinkers but a tiny bit of work with a file and it'll fit.
