Our First Snow

We got our first snow of the season today. Its still snowing, and these pics were taken around 12 pm est. I got stuck at work when it first started and none of the roads were treated, so needless to say, my trip home was fun.

The car had trouble getting up the hill by where I work, and I had to back down several times. The front end slid to the right towards a ditch when I got to the top of the hill and tried to go forward, so my front right tire ended up in a ditch. Then I had trouble backing out and ended up facing down the hill once I got out. But I finally got past the hill and got home safely. I will never drive in the snow with these tires again though.

i actually said that wrong lol, i meant i wish we had snow here.. my sister gets snow sometimes lucky her , last time it snowed here was in 1929 i think, well back to the thread

Yeah I hate driving in the snow too. Nice pics too but you need a beater to drive in the snow cause your car is too nice to drive in it.

Thats actually my desktop wallpaper right now. It looks almost evil, thats why I like it.

Yeah I hate driving in the snow too. Nice pics too but you need a beater to drive in the snow cause your car is too nice to drive in it.

I actually think driving in snow is fun, but since we only get 3 or 4 storms per year, the people here just dont know how to drive in it, which makes me hate driving with traffic. But the actual concept is fun as long as you have control. I won't drive with the 17's anymore though because they have horrible traction.

Like i said before, it only snows 3 or 4 times a year, and usually thats in January and February, so their's really no point to get a beater just for snow purposes. And I usually never drive in it anyways because everything shuts down here when we get enough to create accidents. I think I saw 2 or 3 accidents within a 2 mile span. I WOULD like to get a beater just to keep the miles off of the 3g.

Thanks for the comments everybody. And I feel bad for all of you who dont get or havn't gotten snow in a while. Snow is fun and makes people happy (well it makes me happy). And its what makes winter a good season, because without snow, Winter would suck.

Yeah, definetly need a beater to drive on them roads. Don't need to get that baby in a wreck. You hear about to many wrecks driving on ice & snow. Maybe get some snow tires & some steelies.

Wow you guys didnt get ANY snow....the whole Northern Virginia got some. Im of course in Northern Virginia, specifically Fauquier County (between Fredericksburg and Fairfax). I'd be up for meeting you.

Maybe get some snow tires & some steelies.

The funny thing is that i do have winter tires (not SNOW tires but all-season) and wheels, but I took them off because we didnt have any snow and because they're loud. That wasn't long ago either. But it doesn't really matter because I dont drive in snow that much anyways.

I can tell you what brand they are, but I have no clue where they were bought because my dad put them on the car a loooonnnnnggggg time ago. The brand is Rallye. I would think that my dad got them from a local auto parts store though.
