since your only running one sub, a mono amp would be ideal, and you always should find an amp by maxing the rms's of the sub and amp, so it looks like you know what you are doing. just make sure you got a 2ohm svc sub or a 4ohm X2 dvc sub.
solobaric should be able to match it good.

man nice amp... no matter how its hooked up... for one sub it should pound unless u plan on using a comp sub... i dunno bout this peaking out at around 1500... maybe 1000 or so... u always want to run the same ohms
and always get a subs rms to be around the amps rms or higher
wow wow let the grown folks take care of this cause u did not make any scenseOriginally Posted by hotdoghogie

"tune a box" how in the hell do u do that.
well a sub works off sounds waves...thats why a tune box helps the sound wave sound better...so they dont clash and sound like shit. the lower the subs work off like 50-125 hz

i see, thanks for the info. Im going to have my homie help me build it( hes a genious at car stero).
i hope you know how to wire that sub to get the 2ohms you need to make it sound right. and i hope you get at least a 4ga cable for power and ground, good rca's, and at least 12ga cable to hook up the sub.
i haven't read the link that Messy posted but one thing to remember when making your own box is to reduce the amount of sharp edges inside the box. if you are going to use a stock port (by that i mean one you buy made out of plastic) to port the box make sure its the right length. if youre going to make your own out of MDF....just make sure you sand the edges to be round.
ya i picked up some 4gauge wire and installed it. my friend will be teaching me how wire it to 2 ohms and im going to use this 10 gauge wire for my speaker. thanks for the advise on rounding the edges inside the box.
