i don't really know how rare the SE-i's are, all i know is they are damn hard to find. I have been looking for some while now, more or less for parts(rear disks, center console) for quite some time.
I almost gave up when I was leaving work with a friend and he was joking when he said this: "You should buy that broken ass accord from across the road from our work! ha hahahahha". I didn't really think any thing of it until i drove by it and seen alum Honda rims.
Front passenger wheel looked like it was slammed into a curb pretty bad, so its busted all the way around(somehow still holds air).
So after work i stop in at the house it was sitting at, and asked if they were interested in selling the car since the body is still in decent shape(i think) and she said ..............yes. she basically wanted money for the new parts that she just put into it.
how the car ended up there:
she owned the car for about 4 years, shes been very happy with the car keeping it maintained and whatnot (has all papers of work done and history).
the car was stolen, taken for a joy ride then left on a sidewalk.ICBC would not cover it since they said that it was technically not stolen since the person had keys to the car. so they pretty much wanted to write it off. anyhow after some time bitching and fighting with ICBC about it they all came to a conclusion that it could get fixed, but was going to run her 1700 bucks. so this is where the car ends up.
i have it at my garage, and i will get pics tomorrow from it and evaluating the suspension damage. i plan on robbing parts of my hatch for it to get it drivable (i will replace them, don't worry).
chances are i will be setting this car up for auto x and the hatch will goto the wife. only down side to the sei is its auto trans.
in the end, she wanted 300 for the parts, everything works except the power antenna and the ac. theres my story lol. what ya think?
