    what? se-i!

i don't really know how rare the SE-i's are, all i know is they are damn hard to find. I have been looking for some while now, more or less for parts(rear disks, center console) for quite some time.

I almost gave up when I was leaving work with a friend and he was joking when he said this: "You should buy that broken ass accord from across the road from our work! ha hahahahha". I didn't really think any thing of it until i drove by it and seen alum Honda rims.

Front passenger wheel looked like it was slammed into a curb pretty bad, so its busted all the way around(somehow still holds air).

So after work i stop in at the house it was sitting at, and asked if they were interested in selling the car since the body is still in decent shape(i think) and she said ..............yes. she basically wanted money for the new parts that she just put into it.

how the car ended up there:

she owned the car for about 4 years, shes been very happy with the car keeping it maintained and whatnot (has all papers of work done and history).

the car was stolen, taken for a joy ride then left on a sidewalk.ICBC would not cover it since they said that it was technically not stolen since the person had keys to the car. so they pretty much wanted to write it off. anyhow after some time bitching and fighting with ICBC about it they all came to a conclusion that it could get fixed, but was going to run her 1700 bucks. so this is where the car ends up.

i have it at my garage, and i will get pics tomorrow from it and evaluating the suspension damage. i plan on robbing parts of my hatch for it to get it drivable (i will replace them, don't worry).

chances are i will be setting this car up for auto x and the hatch will goto the wife. only down side to the sei is its auto trans.

in the end, she wanted 300 for the parts, everything works except the power antenna and the ac. theres my story lol. what ya think?

    Re: what? se-i!

sedans have that international appeal like a luxery sports, which is the trend nowa days, a 3G with the right drop and wheels and trim looks like a bmw or benz, even better to me cus I hate beamer drivers...most of them anyway
There is coupe se-i across the highway up from my house has been sitting a while, I would go askabout it but then Im scared I would buy it and that is the last thing I need to do right now... I think some mexicans are renting the house. It has two tailpipes side by side, factory, all car is unmodified looking. would that mean B20 inside?
I have seen a few sei in junkyards lately,

I would switch the rear disk and bigger front disk over to the hatch and keep that as the auto-x. The hatch seems like a much better platform for track racing. I know it seems a little sacrilege to switch drum brakes over to and SE-i, but what the hell and SE-i hatch would be better cause everybody knows hatches are the shit.

    Re: what? se-i!

its a sedan, i don't even think there are any coups in Kelowna, or i never seen one ever here. as far as auto cross goes, i know the SE-i weighs 200+ over my hatch, but heres my reasoning.

my family likes to attend my races so it would be nice if i could take them comfortably. the hatch has racing seats in it so they don't flip forward unless you spend 10 frigging minutes turning the screw on the side of the seat. the hatch also running the carb'd gas tank in it, and it becomes a pain in the ass to drive when it hits around half a tank. every corner you go around after that point, the car basically runs out of gas since there is no resivour for the EFI pump i put in there from my conversion lol. I give a full tank of gas around 150 - 200lb in weight, so if i can race the SE-i with next to no gas, that should put it close to the hatch with a full tank.

how much do you guys think a full tank of gas weighs ?
do they measure the vehicles weight with or without gas in it?

next year Merrit has some rally events going on, so that might be the alternate plan for the hatch. i don't really know what I'm doing with both right now, all i know is I'm fixing the SE-i asap so i can drive that and take the hatch off the road for work that i need to do to it, its moving into winter here and i have lots of time to decide. Swapping the rear disks do sound like a good idea tho :P

    Re: what? se-i!

hey, i have pics on my comp, unfortunatly i cant remember my logon for my website to upload them or my permissions were changed on me, if someone else could host them i will send them to whoever would like to. thx

i've already removed the rear engine/tranny subframe that the ps rack is in, the passenger side lca mount point has a noticeable kink in the inside and is somewhat warped, and since i already have it removed, i might as well replace it and make this one driveable again, i feel sorry for it. you will see in the pics
