    Re: The Amp Rewire!

Well if your not worried about crime think about this, If you like your tunes and dont want them cutting out I suggest you remove it from there.

HAve you ever touched anything metal that has been in direct sunlight in a car for an extended period of time? Even in Winter that will get hot enough to burn you. Now the fact that the metal outside of an ampp is actually its heatsink that is used to dissapate heat. That will now be almost impossible since the amp will now get hot from the ouside in instead of the other way around.

So not only is it going to get way to hot, but theres not going to be any air circualtion underneath since you have it bolted on the the deck which is a rug type material.

Bottom line is if your apm does not get stolen you will run he risk of damaging your amp or shortening its service life.

    nice pics by the way

Don't know to be honest...it was a free amp...so if it goes...it goes...no use crying over spilled milk.

well... a broken window. or they might even steal the car just to get a 50 buck amp out of it.
