I never dreamed the car would last this long. Especially because of the way it's been treated.
Thanks to everyone who has shared their knowledge of 3Gs. I have spent much time using the search feature to gain important info to keep my car on the road.
This forum offers a wealth of technical info as well as entertainment.
I am very happy.
Matt.
Yea, the temp guage broke about 200,000 miles ago. I was scared at first, but I learned to ignore it.Originally Posted by MessyHonda

The 1/2 million mile 3GEE SCRAPPED ON 5/26/07 @ 500,122.2 MILES
So are you going to keep going to a million? This is a good candidate to see how many miles will it take to kill a Honda.

I haven't decided yet. The car needs A LOT of work and I just can't commit to a decision.

I would just do the work it needs in order for it to be a safe car to drive.Originally Posted by mbc

sweet. mine is only at 236k and it's definitely going to be replaced soon.
you're ignoring the "million k 3g," right? because that's over 600,000 miles to get to a million kilometers. but of course, that's km, not miles.Originally Posted by MessyHonda

cool, congrats on the big 500,000milesi also saw these 3 vids on the youtube side bar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSWUixb6NiU
i wish i coulda easily go and put 800,000 k's on my 3gee to have a million k
and yeah the mk3g is one of my favourites![]()
I watched those videos a couple of days ago and knew the car immediatly just like everyone else here. I love how many 3Gs are reaching this milestone together.
I believe that the mk3g is an inspiration to many of us (myself included).
In regards to my 3G, I have put over 452,000 of the miles myself over the past 15 years and I don't think I have the stamina to go to a million.
I am perfectly happy with 2nd place (if any one was counting).
Here is a pretty cool link. I'm sure many of us already know about this site.
