off topic, but does anyone know how to make a spin turn knob for the e-brake... or maybe just one that would be compatible with the 3g e-brake? i may have found one, but I'm not sure.

i made the push button on mine from aluminum,it's a lot longer then it looks, all you see is the end of the button,i can't remember what the thread was off the top of my head.i 've considered making the end piece too,but i don't have an extra e brake handle handy at the moment, then i would need to make a boot to attach to it.

This is a cheapo knob I got from autozone. It's the most comfortable shifter I've ever used.
The flash makes it look carbon fiber but it's not. Gotta be nylon or something from the feel of it.
I think its made by 3M, 3G, 3R? something like that for about $20.

does it have a twist end so it will release the ebrake lock and the ebrake will not ratchet or lock in place?

na i replaced the plastic button with one made from aluminum, because the plastic ones are always flaking. the button goes way down in there. i was talking about making an aluminum round handle part to go around the knob. i don't know about the twist lock,i have an idea on how to make one though.

yea i know,i sent it to you. they only came on the hatch of that generation, with matching orange graphics on the instrument cluster. very rare now. that looks a lot like my shift knob, probably came from about the same generation, except for the red and gold leaf honda insert. they might have pulled it out of a box or something building the test cars.
