from what i have heard the civic airbox dosnt really do anything. i would just think it would restrict the air flow into the carb. i would do the flip lid even tho it only gets warm air.

The civic airbox gives you better throttle response, and thats about all that I noticed when I put mine on. I had to take mine off this past winter because the fuel would freeze and the car would run rough and/or shut off, and I didn't want that happening at the wrong time. I would just flip the lid. It takes like 5 seconds.

you want the flip lid in a carb cuz they run better on warm air than colder air. just wat i've heard and feel.

Well these carbs like warm air. With cold air they do not perform as well.

    Re: CAI or flipped lid

Just keep the K&N and flip the lid, the civic air box is just alot of excess work for no real gain.

I know this from personal experience.
