Wow I totally missed this thread before... Build looks fantastic so far, your motor looks excellent especially the valve cover I like how it turned out.
Good luck on the rest of the build, be sure to keep us updated.

Wow, the gold top A20 looks beautiful
Haha thanks guys I think it looks pretty good too!
I have done a bit since then, I got those spindels apart now so I need to get those cleaned up and painted/new bearings. I picked up some panels from a parts car at pick n' pull and finally found a teg lip! Some other misc things, but funds for the 3g has run dry so im looking around for work.
Should be a good year once I get some work done
Good to hear... I know how you feel with the funds situation, it can definately suck not having much.
I will have to make my way to BC again this summer though... we could have a nice big 3geez meet in the Okanagan now, lots of members.

Well I have some more progress, not as much as I would like but still some! I got a new job a few weeks ago so I finally have some money to put into the 3g. Picked up some paint and got to work on coating those parts I so long ago stripped.
They turned out pretty good I think, should look awesome with my rims(which I hope to have on soon).
Since it was a nice overcast day I figured I better wash the hatch!
The white paint on the back was from a few days ago, taking care of the rust I can before it gets way ahead of me(still lots to do yet too).
Washed the engine bay too.
looking good
1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
Washed and waxed this aswell today.
This is my late uncle's car, a 1982 Mazda 626. This thing is MINT! Besides a few dings and whatnot it is super clean, I need to take care of a few tiny rust spots and thats pretty much it.
Cleaned the engine bay too.
I love the hood.
Not a 3g but definitely a nice car.
Hope to have some more progress after I get payed! haha
rear calipers look good....you should upgrade tho...i have 1st gen legend rear calipers waiting till i put them on.
1989 Honda Accord LX-i
B18c1 swap since 7/2011
175whp and 132tq
Redzone tuned
Thanks, but those calipers are new and I have no intention of getting legend ones(perhaps down the road) since these front and rear sei brakes will be an upgrade.
damn for a first time paint job on the rocker cvover you sure did one mint job, good stuff!!
Those calipers look great bro!!! I really like how you did the valve cover, looks like it was done at a autobody shop. Seriously.....great build thread!!!
wow that mazda is sexy! and i love the hood my old accord and civic had it like that

so i love your build, i totally woulda done the same thing if i still had my hatch, however i have one question...
Have you tried to put your oil cap back in yet?
Looks like you painted in the screw hole???
Breaking news! What has an H in it!
Thanks for the comments guys.
Good eye man, yes I have an oil cap on now and it fits fine. The threads are pretty loose until you tighten it down, it would take quite a bit of paint/gunk for it to be unable to.

hah.. that was se-i tysons right?... you probably got it for a good price... i didnt have the $$ at the time he was selling it.
nice looking car man! and the paint on the valve cover is so so cool. calipers too. i have an 86 DX that looks identical to yours, as far as i can see, and i can't WAIT to see how nicely yours turns out!
God damn it. You guys all need to stop having nicer cars than me. Very nice looking valve cover as well. But seriously, everybody just stop. You make me feel guilty for not working on my car. (goes back to working on car)
Lostforawhile:we have to pick on him he's CAH he spray painted himself into this corner with the accord.
wow that valve cover came out great, what color is that? very impressive game plan you have on your car
Haha yea it was tyson's! Glad I scooped it up, gave me pretty much everything I needed. Or somewhere to start at least.
Thanks for the comments guys! The cover did turn out kick ass! roodoo, the colour is the same as the calipers(VHT gold), except it got "burnt" in the oven haha, so its almost one of a kind I get paid soon so rims are goin on!!!
