    My Ride

Here's my car, needs lots of work as you can see. My main concerns is under the hood. I want to have things taken care of there, the last owner took didn't even bother to change the oil or the air filter. Though time has passed and I've taken care of it and it runs great.

I drive an A/T, I don't know how to drive a stick but I would LOVE to learn how! :P

The red wire sticking out was to power my shifter thingy but I just gave up, I can't find the connectors to it, it looks like someone converted the car from a Manual into an Automatic. I'm not sure, service manual says my car was a manual but I dunno.

Anyhow, I bought some some brake for the car, they need 'em. Oh yeah, I adjusted the seat belt light thing with blue bulbs, they're so bright even during broad daylight it's awesome! I just need a white plastic film or something so you don't see the bulbs like that.

So far the next thing I want to buy are a pair of dampers for the front only (those KYB G2's are affordable) pair of sway bars bushings.

So yeah.. the car needs work but over time I'll be fixing it up. I would LOVE to hear some suggestions.

looks like someone did convert it from a manual. The gauge cluster doesnt have the shift position indicator in it...wierd, most people swap the other way. Maybe the previous owner got old haha.

Alright, though is there a big difference between the two? Also, where's a good place to buy them at? What other good brands are there for springs?

I know, that's the part I don't get! Usually people like it manual, I dunno. Driving it is cool yet weird, well the downshifting part anyway, it feels like it's a manual downshifting, which is good because I don't have to brake too often.

Nice clean hatch man. get your self a cia or a short ram intake you'll notice the difference immediately. The stock intake is very restrictive. You can get the generic sway bar bushing kit at autozone where ever for like $30 they're a little beefier, you'll have to cut the tabs back on the center ones to make them fit though.no problem if you have a dremel just measure them first! And welcome!!!! post more pic's if u can

    Re: My Ride

Hey all, thought I take some pics of my car again. I realized I never took pics of what's under the hood. So I figure why not? Eh?

Now I'll say this, going to the junk yard and finding my engine set up is hard. I always see a different setup even if its a FI. I know cause I was looking for a part that goes on the thermostat and finding that thing took awhile.

Anyhow, things I've done since last time.

-I bought a MSD Blaster 3. It's mounted with zip ties for now, fitting it was annoying. I had to bend stuff around.

-New Oxygen Sensor. Taking that thing out was hard... It was sooo stripped, I had to take off the manifold, clamp it and take it off from there.

-New Alt. My dad manufactures them or something at work, so he hooked me up with one.

    -Replaced better ground cables.

-Installed an Amp and Sub. It cost me $80 bucks total so I'm real happy with it, It has enough power for me so that's cool. The funny is my battery is so small yet it can handle everything decently.

    Re: My Ride

    Here's some more.

Oh yeah, I took the hood off and cleaned it, it went from mucky brown to bright white. I don't think you get a shoot shot of it but I'll take one soon.

    Clean.

I REALLY need to replace the carpet, paint the trimmings like you guys said, fix the bumper or rather replace it and add some rims sometime. Remove gunk on the dashboard n stuff. There's much to do I know.

    Any suggestions or comments?

    Thanks man!

I'm convinced whoever swapped it to auto did so. According to the service manual its a manual, my VIN starts off with JHMCA538xxxx. However what I don't get is what the heck does EXCi mean?
