ok i havent tried it agian yet BUT if it doesnt shift do i even need to screw with the clutch and presure plate?? i looked it over with wth a high powerd light and it looks great from what i can see...
also anyone got a FI trans for sale?? lol
**edit** just went out and tried the gears.. they all go in but some are a bit harder then others... i dont have a axle to test with either i cant get them off the damn hubs

All of my gears go in with the same force other than 5th and reverse. You can use this same transmission, or get another one. As for the clutch, make sure the springs on the disc aren't damaged or missing, make sure the pressure plate doesn't have any fading marks on it, and make sure the spring is even on it as well. If all checks out the clutch is fine. When you reassemble everything, make sure you put assembly lube on the input shaft on the transmission so the clutch disc can slide easier.

You can spin the input shaft on the transmission when in gear. It should be smooth, if not you need a new tranny.

well guys more bad news just hit.. my job is cutting my hours... ima be looseing 200-300 a month due to this.. i know thats not much but it is for me right now... looks like i need to cut this car loose... im positive the trans is fried just becuse it had problems for mday one going into 5th and such... so anyone interested in a coupe?? still runs just doesnt move

That really sucks, I was at the junkyard today in San antonio, TX. There is a 86 accord with a tranny in it that only has 79,000 miles on it. for $115. I was going to get it, except that I forgot my wallet.

put it back together minus the trany,and the driveshafts,then it will roll.
Yeah, get the knuckles reinstalled and it would be feasable for it to be towed.

Damn, this sucks. Right when I'm needing another daily, 2 come up that would be in my normal price range that I don't have the money for.
allright im puting the suspention back on so i can drop it on its wheels and so it can be towable... one of the UCA bolts was damaged from the ball joint puller and the nut just wont go back on... is there any simple ways to hold this together just so i can push the car and tow it?? it will never be driven how it is... but i just didnt want to put the brand new uca on for this

its bent to much i tried useing a tap and die and its still not working
i used a hose clamp to hold the uca on lol should hold just to push the car around i hope

heres a little update on how im holding the UCA on LOL
i love hose clamps, this should be fine for towing the car... i pushed it back to the side of the road and i noticed i really fucked the toe on it.. damn tire skips and was a PIA to push but its fine since whoever gets the car will HAVE to fix the front suspention with new stuff.
anyone interested in the florida area let me know and sky i need to talk to you on aim again im rethinking your offer my rents are starting to complain about 2 dead accords in there yard
best to tow it on a flatbed, that could still pop off on the road, if the tow is that far out it will be untowable with the wheels on the ground. but it's good enough to pull it on on a trailer or a two wheel dolly.
i figured i 2 wheel dolly will be fine, plus there only like 25 bucks to rent from u-haul. id never tow a car a far distence on all 4 wheels anyways its just to risky
car is sold to vanilla sky (here on the forum), hopefully we will make his own update thread ..
