Hey, the party does start Friday night if you wanted to make it up. There's not a whole lot going on, but hey, I'm always down for a street party.
That's cool, I know how it is to do stuff on short notice. Usually is something you want to do, but can't get everything in line to be able.
looking good my friend looking good
Very nice. Where you get the steel lines?
well a little update...
the car has been giveing me full hell... i have a large list of things to fix that included all new suspention bushings, oil leaks, power stearing, new rims/ tires (old rims are bent and tires are messed up from no alignment) but some more things went rong that im rushing to fix..
the driver side power window for some reason went screwy and keeps trying to role down when allready down... i ended up putting another old set in there to keep the window up. also after haveing a starting problem (wich ended up being the battery) i found out my injectors are leaking like crazy, so i orderd some injector seal kits from napa. and lastly i had a bad rattle from doing the brakes figured out my brake caliper holder was worn out and causeing the rattle so i replaced it today and allso threw some new terminals on the batt

thanks
well i have yet another problem the car seems to kill its batt in under a day if the car is not ran. i dont even know were ot start to look for the problem... i might install a killswitch just as a cheep temp fix but dunno... anyone have any ideas on what could be draining the battery
my first guess for excessive draw on a battery is always the radio. yank the fuse for the radio one night and see if the battery level is any better.
Don't forget though, if the alternator is dead, or even just terribly weak, your battery will not 'hold' a charge. Bust out the volt-meter, and make sure you're somewhere between 11.5 and 13 with the car off. Then turn it on and hold the rpm's over 2000-2500 and you should be reading above 13.8 (ideally more like 14.1+). If you're not seeing a change in volts, replace that alternator.

Ditto what roodoo said, when I got my 3gee, the brake lights stuck as well. But yeah definitely check the alternator, because in some cases even if it isnt weak or dead it can drain the battery instead of charge it.

well i woulda updated yesterday but 3geez was down..... i got the batt charged and took it down to autozone to get the alt tested... it came back good as well as the batt.. there dignostic tool said that there was a batt pull with the key off.. so i went back and put a test light between the positive cable and the pos terminal... watching for the light to dim with a fuse pulled... well it went dim when i pulled fuse #4 from the underhood fusebox wich is horn and setbelt motors.... i havent tried anything under the dash yet though...
and on the taillight thing i just redid the brake light switch becuse they used ot stay on at all times but that was fixed
no ideas on fuse #4? or the power drain?? havent tried the radio yet im trying the #4 first
what the hell does #4 operate? I don't have my service manual in front of me right now. ...anyone?

when i unpluged the fuse before heading to bed tonight i noticed that i can hear a click in the door like a relay or something... i know theres motors on the seatbelts could they be messing up (and what the hell are the motors on the belts for anyways i know the sedan didnt have it)
Lockup, that's what the motors are for.
The power window controller is also in there.

ok well still no idea on fuse #4 so i just pull it nightly...
heres a positive update
painted my valve cover (didnt feel like sanding the raised parts, and its a red color the flash made it look orange) also changed my valve cover seal valve cover gromets, cam shaft seal, and dizzy o-ring... so that should help some of the engines leaks
now for a bad update.... the car wouldnt start for a while today... hapend twice... engine light came on and it wouldnt start... 30 minutes later it started but it keeps haveing this problem.. the check engine light buzzes when it comes on or off...i will check the code next time it happens
