    My New Whip

I haven't really spoken about this much but I was in the market for a BMW. So now I finally got one. The 3gee is still around, but the main reason I was in the market for a newer car was because my dad likes the MPG the 3gee gets so he is now driving it. I still get to take it for spins every now and then. Anyways, onto the pics. It's a 1995 BMW 525i.

You'd be surprised how reliable these cars are. They are like any other car that is fairly old, they have things that go out.

I don't know where this misconception of BMW's being unreliable comes from, but its far from the truth. As long as you take care of the car, it will take care of you.

What is true is that a BMW is costly to own, because whenever something does break, its expensive as hell. But my dad owns a '98 528i and that thing has almost 200,000 miles on it and runs like new. He's only had 1 problem since he's owned it.....the a/c compressor went out.

edit: Damn i forgot to complement the car. Nice pickup man.

Thanks. I really like the car. Seats are much better than the Accords and has heated seats. As far as reliability, right now it needs a valve cover gasket and front suspension. The E34's are notorious for front end work past 100k( this one has 115k). I'd also like to know where people get that BMW's are unreliable. In the past, my dad had a 320i and a 735iL and both cars were great. My brother has a 535i and its running great!

I don't see why they'd want to do that, BMW's make great L6 engines.

Nice. I'd take it. Im a Bimmer fan though so Im biased. It's not so much a "status" thing I like abou them, I just like the styling really. It's agressive and makes a point. Dont eff with me buddy! lol.

I wouldnt have any problem driving that to work and back every day. Only thing I'd want is some dark tinted windows.

I've always liked BMW's over Honda's and other cars. I prefer the older models do to the look, this is why I was looking for something like this. I could care less how I appeal to others, I like what I drive.

    Re: My New Whip

I alwayz wanted to have a bmw and put stickers on the back, like "boogers on board" and a pabst blue ribbon, and a rebel flag, and never wash it, ever.
little mulitcolored teddy bears dancing across the back window with a woodstock or bust sign ....some chrome reverse rims just on the back only, and some gypsy tips exhaust.
Just to make the statement, like 90 percent of other bmw owners do when they buy them..

Ok russian kid so you may be the other 10 which are cool bimmer owners.
