    Snowy pics

I haven't posted pics in a while. So here are a few I snapped after the first decent amount of snow the car has ever seen. Fyi, this was a southern car, however it is parked in bad weather so it doesn't see salt.

It does sit outside all the time, and once it warms up I will give it a good detail.

I still have to install my battery tie down that a certain member custom made for me.

    Re: Snowy pics

That's most likely the same snow storm that came through where I live, and I didn't drive my car for 2 days after it stopped. Salt isn't THAT bad for your car as long as you wash it as soon as possible and definitely before the temp gets over 32 F. My rule of thumb is to minimize driving when there is salt on the road, and then wash the car no more than 2 days after driving it.

I drive my Bimmer in the winter. It has better tires compared to the Accords nearly bald tires. Don't get me wrong though, Accord is still fun to drive. We need to have a mini-meet sometime.

Definitely understand your view. I just got new tires on my car, but been there done that with the bald tires, it becomes scary at some point. A mini meet would be cool, we should get that going soon. I bet your BMW looks something like this right now.

    Re: Snowy pics

hmm.... snow. me loves tha snow. Honestly, I miss driving my 3G's in the snow because they are SO good in the snow. Especially compared to current DD (an '02 Protege), which is decent with snow tires, but overall, the 3G with summer tires would out perform this in the snow.

on a side note: please tell me your house is not as big as the other ones in the pics. that would make me insanely jealous. ...and chances are any of those are probably half of what I'm paying for my dump. Damn Connecticut.

    Re: Snowy pics

My house is the same one as the one in the first picture, just a different color. Gladly its my parents house and I just live there.

The 3gee performs great in the snow. With bald tires it made up my icy driveway. Sure I was spinning in 4th gear, but it made it.

Snow is nice until you have to shovel the driveway. It snowed about 4 inches last night and the 3gee fired right up. Then I proceeded to clean the shit off.

    Re: Snowy pics

Little update. I've always had the window rattle when it was all the way down and you shut the door. Never took the door apart because it never caused issues. Lately, my window would not roll back up after it went down. So I took the door panel off, and noticed the rubber insert on the window guide(rear) was laying at the bottom of the door. So I cleaned it up and put it back, so now the window doesn't rattle. The issue with my window not going up was the control module. Luckily I had a spare so I swapped them out, cleaned the tracks, and everything works smooth.
