Re: Mark's 89 Hatch Build Thread

    thanks for the comments guys.

    So slight updates....

Statik --> I hate to admit it, but I had a set of CRX seats in MINT condition about 7 years ago, and then spent another $600 to get the center sections reupholstered with a salt&pepper tweed. ...then about 2 years ago, I sold them for $160 shipped. I hate myself. You know I always thought the same about the 'teggy seats not being truly black, but the pics the guy sent me clearly show black bolsters with gray inserts. They do look good I must admit. We'll see though.

Ren --> Yeah thanks man. I love the shake from the no exhaust and the lopey idle. ...but the shaking will go away quite a bit as I'm working with another member on getting rid of the shake from the stock motor mounts. ...but that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Fiend --> Thanks man, that does mean a lot from a new member. Hope you plan on hanging out a while too.

Dennis --> Please by all means, go right ahead and do that. Hell I'll help you with the damn thing if it's possible.

Shameless plug here: Guys, check out the link in my sig. Get yourself some 3geez emblems/badges.

Re: Mark's 89 Hatch Build Thread

i haven't done much of anything to it lately... (too damn cold)

    But here's the few things.....
Sold the MR-2 Seats (they were going to be WAY more work than I wanted to put in to get them to fit right in the car)
The Konig's were dismounted from the tires and the tires (and wheels) are up for sale.
Last night I removed the stock shifter so I can get a new one installed soon enough

I've tried starting it a few times since that last vid, but no luck. It's a throttle issue and an issue of 5+ yr old fuel in the tank. That's going to be drained and filled up with some nice fresh stuff come spring time. For now, if I try to start it between now and then I'll just run a fuel line from a portable tank to the pump and let it get it's fuel that way.

More updates to come though. I refuse to let the cold stop all progress.

Re: Mark's 89 Hatch Build Thread

I didn't do a damn thing to it over the winter. It's just too damn cold out to do anything and my garage is so small that I can't do any work on it while in the garage, so my options are limited.

Hopefully I'll start getting things going in the coming weeks though. Stay tuned for updates.

Re: Mark's 89 Hatch Build Thread

    She saw sunlight last weekend...

...but only for a few hours as I cleared a bunch of shit out of my garage to make room for a new toolbox I'm hoping to buy in the next few weeks. BUT... I had my hands on the car long enough to really want to get it going (again) (...err... ...again, again, again, again, again [for those that know me and that have been around since the late 90's)])

I came across a good deal on yet another set of wheels over the winter that I couldn't say no to. They were such a good deal that even if they didn't fit, or look good, I'd just sell 'em and move on.

    thoughts?

Can anyone identify these wheels? If so, you've either been around a bit, or know your ol'skool wheels. 16x7.5 et.38
Yes, I know what they are, just testing you guys that's all. and yes, I know the tire is a pancake too.

Trying out a set of 14" Miata wheels. Wicked light! This bastard almost took my finger off when I put it on. It definitely bent it permanently/maybe broke it.

The mesh wheel (15") in the background is the 'ol faithful set that's been with me since '01.
