But look at my Accord. What color is it? I was told it was Misty Beige, and my car looks brown compared to those two. Sorry for stealing your thread, mzchevelle!
Whats the code in the door?
check here---> https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthrea...da+color+codes
I have to walk a few blocks to get to my car, but I'll be right back...
Edit:15 minutes later, Charlie finds out his car's paint code is "YR94M-3---Beige". He notices that "YR94M" is "Seattle Silver", but if you add the "-3", it becomes "beige". Misty Beige? He may never find out.

^^ Sure he will: YR59M is Misty beige. You are just plain ol beige ha. My 3g was beige too (check the link in that link). I liked it, at dawn & dusk it looked silver but daylight brought out a little gold.
BTW very nice hatchie Mzchevelle; sorry bout the thread jack
LOL! You are very observant! At least we know your eyesight is working extremely well! The guys at the paint shop took all of the emblems off to paint the car (as they should)...when I went to pick up the finished car, I noticed that they had put the LXi on the driver's side when it was originally on the passenger side. Since it was a glue-on, I told them not to worry about removing and relocating. I just wanted to get my car back. At least it makes mine different! Also, better to have it in the wrong place than to have them lose it, so I guess it's all good!

I will check the paint code on Thursday when I drive the car to work. I will post the number for all to see. I haven't driven "Misty" since last week. Been in Chi-town for a few days visiting my Bro. Drove my rust bucket 1975 Nova to work today. Gotta keep 'em all up and running. Equal time, but I can only drive one at a time! LOL!

OK, I checked "Misty's" paint code. It is YR59M.
It is dead on with the pictures.
It looks Silver.
My buddy that sold me the car swears the color is called "Champaign". I see that Champaign was available on the DX and LX Sedan models in 1987, and also had another color interior! Maybe he was stoned when he bought the car in 1988! The drugs must've been strong back then! Or the salesman (whose name is written in the owner's manual), didn't know what he was talking about!
This car also has the burgundy interior and is a 5-spd LXi with cruise control, electric windows, electric mirrors, A/C, tilt wheel. This car is fully loaded! Not a bad buy for $1,000! :-)

god im still kicking my self for getting ride of that hood
i was just over whelmed with installing parts lol
hatchbacks don't come with power door locks, the notch in the door beam that is required for clearance on the electric locks, doesn't come on our cars. you can't swap in a lock motor from a sedan eithier, there's no clearance, shame because it attaches right to the door latch itself like factory. just won't fit, you can get aftermarket actuators, thats the best route.

If you live in Anticrotch, you'd better be sure you can see it out of your window! I've been to the hood and it's a bit rough there and Pittsburg (which really is the "pitts"). That's why I got a LoJack on Misty, so if she disappears, someone's going to jail to be someone's beeeeaaaatch!

Hey, Ghettogeddy, I like the black wheels on your hatchie. What size are they?
I looked for black wheels during my remodel, but couldn't find any decent ones in 15".
The idiots at Rent-a-Wheel in North Hills were less-than-friendly, because they don't have
anything smaller than 17"...Yet there were pictures of Honda Civics on the walls! Duh!
I went with these 15" silver 5-spoke painted wheels that were in stock at America's Tire.
They took good care of me and Misty. They actually match the paint, so it was a good choice!
My car has black trim, so I thought black wheels would be nice.

Actually, I'm glad I don't have electric door locks. Just another expensive thing to break. I'm not that lazy! I wish mine had manual roll-down windows. The motor in the driver's door went out last Summer and it was $350 to have a new one put in. That, I can do without!
My old 1975 Chevy Nova has roll down windows and I'm OK with that. So does the Chevelle.
Hey, if anyone lives in the Santa Clarita area...our car club will be at the T-Bo's BBQ on Soledad Cyn Rd near Camp Plenty and our HOT RODS (and my Chevelle) will be there in force from 4pm to 9pm! Grand opening! Bring on the RIBS, BABY! Good for a few extra hours at LA Fitness!

well the electric door locks are nice to go with the alarm, that and a hatch release, i put in both, the motors are small and easy to put in. I have manual roll up windows though, and i like them. I wish i could fit the honda oem electric locks, it's just a motor that attaches right to the existing door latch assembly. they are pretty much dead reliable in these cars, and if they break cheap at the junkyard.
I think you'll like the guys from here, we have a few "ricers" but most of the people on here enjoy their old hondas and we are different from any other honda community i've ever seen. Not a lot of people into the big wings and the ugly stuff you see so often, like the giant fart can mufflers.
