Does anyone have a detailed list of the engine bolts torque specs? Im rebuilding an ek1(81) and cant find them. Any info is good. Also can the torque specs be the same from a civic engine of the same year? As i have one of these manuals.

I think there is a shop manual in the FAQ section that you can download. Here's a scan from my chiltons though:
According to the 1981 Honda Factory Service Manual:
Main Bearing Cap Bolts: 48lb-ft
Rod Bearing Cap Nuts: 23lb-ft
Head bolts:
Step 1: 22lb-ft
Step 2: 43lb-ft
You're very brave rebuilding an engine without a manual...

Maybe, but my dad has been a mechanic for 20 years, i think 15 or so are honda ones,I needed the torque numbers because they are a bit different from the 1500 civic( the car in which the engine is going first, although im planing on getting an accord and then installing this engine to it, well see)
