Good job, the car is looking great!
I actually filled up bottles of warm water that I brought with me ;-) good thing too, cause using cold water would've been a bitch.

Didn't even think about my reverse light until you said it now. Why, yes, I do actually have painted reverse lights!

    SPRING IS HERE ~

As I promised, I've begun working on the Honda again.
Last week I drove 9 hours to Sweden (next to Norway ) and picked up a bunch of stuff that came of a donor car.
The donor car was actually even 7 more hours of driving, so I had the parts sent as close to the border as possible.

So this is what I got.

Windshield wipers front and the wiper motor
    Antenna
    Right side signal light
    both lights in the fender
    two black front seats
    Rear seat and back
    black door-covers front
and some interior bits and pieces.

Uploading some pictures as we speak. Didn't really plan on taking any this time, since I didn't finish putting in the
black interior, but work in progress is equally fun, right?

Had some help today fixing an electrical problem with the tail lights. It was electrician-hell.
The dude that had worked on it before has really done some sloppy work.

But my brilliant friend Mr.Fix It took care of it So now its tip top.

Pictures follows in the post below.

I need some help figuring what I'm missing on the interior, because under the dash,
there are some really freaky and unnatural thing. Se pictures below

    Backseats

    Doorcovers

This was actually a problem, the doorcover on the rightside had an ashtray embedded in it, and my original covers had speakers, but the hole in the door, that was for the speakers, didn't fit so I could have that ashtray there. So I had to take it out, so now there is a hole in my doorcover! buuuuuhhhuuu.

Here it is on the car. First fitting.

    Front seats

This one need some cleaning & fixing tho... Better to have a torn black seat, than a torn yellow/beige one XD right?

So to my questions. Could anyone post pictures of what its really supposed to look like? (Can't wait till I can get rid of all the red frecking details.)

    (Gear and handbrake fitting?)

    Under the passenger seat. Plumbing?
(and yes, we needs the Red bull )

And last but not least, the pull down for the hood-opener. Its not suppose to just flop around there is it?
And btw, whats that "PUSH" button for?
Never though of it before I saw it on the picture.... I Haven't driven the car since august *smile*

Nice find. Your car's looking better all the time.

The "Push" button should be for your rear window defroster.

Ok, the hood opener is supossed to have a steel bracket fixed to the kick panel, you will see a couple of holes where the bracket fits. The "plumbing" is for he heater,,is supposed to come from the engine, then to the heater valve, and then to the internal heater radiator.
    So many reasons why

It wouldn't too much to ask if you could take a picture for me?
or possibly find some, which shows whats its really supposed to look like.

At first we thought the heater wouldn't work, but it does... So thats why I was kinda confusseled about the "plumbing"...

Hi. I got a question. I've been searching the forum about coloring/dying the carpet.

I really don't want to take it out, and go through extreme measures to get i black.
Could i use some kind of spraycans to color the carpet whilst its in the car?

I don't really care if the result is a 100%, its anyway going to be better than that yellow/brown shade its now.

You already have all the hard stuff out so why not go the extra length?

Honestly, the trouble of taking it out and doing what you want to it then beats painting it inside the car and getting over spray on everything.

    Keep up the good work.

I decided that I'll take the carpet out now My father-in law thought that would be best.

But can I spray the carpet? With the ordinary kind of spray, or should it be somekind of vinyl/textile/carpet spray (which honestly is really far too expensive)

Sorry its in RHD but you can see my cars hood-latch securing bracket in this shot. I think some markets also added their fog-lamp switch on another bracket just above this when required.
Also found the parts on a US Online parts book picture as well:

    hood-latch bracket part #15

    http://www.hondapartsnow.com/online/...=Heater%20Unit

Heater tap / water valve part #2 & its cover can't be seen in the photos of your car. Since they may not be available an alternate tap / water valve may have been added elsewhere (the Prelude put it closer to the engine), or simply by-passed it so the heater stays on all the time (some newer cars do this & instead stop the air from going through the heater core/radiator)

Those are some unusual seat-belt buckles your car has!

With the center console out the carpets are ridiculously easy to remove anyway. Not sure what to suggest about painting them, though I think I am about to buy some black fabric paint to use on some velour Honda Integra seats that have faded badly... & have to ask a professional auto vinyl repairer friend what to use on my '77 accords faded beige door trims.

Thank you so much 79cord awesome.

Red parts are in the proses of becoming black
Looking Über. I can't describe the fantastic feeling of standing there paining it from red to black, it felt so great

    center console is BLACK

A lovely "before-picture" of one of the door...eh..whats it call and whatnot.

    and After

I used spray paint, called "bumper paint" its for plastic parts, and I'm actually surprised how good the outcome was. I had to use two-three coverings, but the paint is cheap, and with one Can I did the center console and both door-side-thingies...

I cleaned the parts thoroughly with silicon remover and then I used 400p sanding paper and then once again wiped it off with a damp cloth, and then it was ready for spraying.

    Quite happy now.

Since it was easter the shops where closed, so I'm a little short on supplies.
Buying more spraypaint tomorrow, looking for vinyl spray and some other parts.

And I've began planing some audio in the car. Its not supposed to be something that rocks the car apart, but something smooth, and sexy.

Thinking about 5 1/4" in the doors (JVC) and built in behind the back seats, two boxes with two 8" in each of them. And I'll make a mdf floor in the trunk, removing the spare tire, and embedding one of the amplifiers in there where the spare tire was. Then some plexiglass over. The other one will be placed between the two cases of 8"x2.

haha, probably hard to imagined, but I think it will be great. Ofc pictures will follow

Only problem is I'm not sure where to put the back speakers. Probably going to be 6x9 or some wicked 4x10. Any ideas?

I still have EVERYTHING. You know what? I'm going to junk the seats and pull of the seat covers. You could put the seat covers on your seats and have some nice looking seats for your car. I also still have those rear panels. I'd love to see all that stuff go to a good home in your car. My front door panels are in really good shape too, only thing wrong is the peeling chrome. Should be able to get everything into one box that way and make shipping pretty damn affordable.

Unfortunately, the mats are in my car. They were too lovely to not put in there.

I'm going to try to get to it tonight. So if you're interested, let me know, PM me your info and I'll try to get a shipping quote for you some time this week.

Talk about efficiency! First things first, I'm not sure about the seat covers. I did actually get the black seats, and they weren't that bad. One was worse, but I think that 'll have to do.

Doorpanels to back would be awesome!... You know what, check out about the shipping (I'll PM you) And then we'll figure out what to send and what not to

I didn't have any time tonight to break the seats out. I will have to get to it sometime this week. I'm just happy to see the parts you need go to someone who is taking care of their car. That's why I took them mostly, figured someone could use them, and it would be a shame to throw them away or let them get crushed.

I ship stuff to New Zealand all the time, and via US Postal Service, it's not as bad as you might think.

My only guess would be colorblind. I have no other explanations that would justify that unholy gruesomeness done to this car.

Two separate items, the molding, and the weatherstrip, they also came together.

    Molding P/N: 75801-671-000
    Weatherstrip: 75861-671-010
    Both together: 75860-671-020 *

If you cant find the items locally, i have the item marked with * for sale, new old stock (NOS) the cost, USD 60 plus shipping (from Paraguay! =S ).

I also have the trunk lining NOS but i am not sure about the color, i am sure that i saw a couple in red and one in blue, but there can be anoter in black, i should check my warehouse because those items are not included in my catalog.

You also asked for a place where to put your speakers, so i bet you are missing the rear tray. Sadly a dont have that item for you. But here is the link with part number.

I really need that weatherstip moldthingy... too bad its so expensive :S

But please check out that trunk lining, and give me a price. If the part is in some kind of plastic, I could surly paint it black if you don't have that color.

All right ya'll, here's a little update. I probably should wait till everything is nice and done... But I guess it doesn't really matter

Cables and shit, all messy looking.

I found some vinyl spray to use on my back doorpanels. They turn out pretty fab.
A little dusty, but that'll come right of.

    Font view of the interior

Haven't cleaned it, so door panels and stuff are a bit dirty.

    Hind view.

As you can see the coloring of the carpet wasn't that good. I've actually got a hold of "carpet" spray, but I wouldn't recommend it for other than vinyl and dash. I'll fix this next week.
Also you still can see the red freking belt covers, I'm supposed to rip them out of there, I have some leather covers I'm going to cover the belt-suspenders with instead.

    SPAM

Whats up with my bumper anyways, suddently I realized I haven't seen any accord with the... eh, bumper sticking out. Its supposed to be like that, right? (noob)
