    New 3gee guy! from arizona!

Hey everybody. My name is Jon. I just bought an 89 Accord LX-i coupe last week. I got it from a guy in Las Vegas for $450 bucks...This is my 1st Accord. I have had 3 civics. 2 ef sedans and 1 eg coupe.

Now it is a 5spd and my 1st time driving stick in over a year was very weird again but after the test drive it was just like riding a bike. Its got 187xxx miles on the clock. the only problem i t has besides faded paint, is somewhere in the wiring there is a short that causes the battery to die over night so i have been disconecting it every time i stop driving for a few hours. i can let it got for about an hour before it dies. If anybody has any suggestions on where to find it or other soulotions please give me your imput.

    any comments or ideas welcome.

Search, before you get flamed. Pictures would be nice as well, once you get two more posts.

    Now for the pictures!

The hub cap is now off and the trim ring is on lol.

Its got a trim peice missing and the paint is faded a bit but its still pretty nice for a 89

Im thinking of painting the steelies white...maybe

The only damage on the car...i was told it was backed into. Ill know more once i get around to taking off the front bumper

to the forums. Looks good. Trim rings ftw , body color ftw (except for the fading), interior looks decent, painting the wheels white FTL.
You should replace that engine ground first, then go from there. Electrical gremlins are the hardest to track down. Get the alternator checked for free at a auto parts store too. Just for peace of mind, you know.

Honestly, I prefer my desserts a little cleaner than that. For a desert car, however, it's looking mighty fine. Welcome to the board!
