Awesome, I like the shaved look. The wrinkle paint kinda hid the 'A' a lil bit though. Hope the color coat doesnt have to be very thick.

i like the idea of labeling it a motor. just do it and see how you like the finished product.
there's also a steel one where the honda is attached with screws

The lettering is very thin, I've had to be pretty careful. Color won't be thick, but I'm gonna sand the wrinkle off the letters first

That should just be the carbed cover though.

they will fit either, the carb one looks the most old school. I don't think I've ever seen a carb one put on a FI engine. the main difference is the carb one has extra brackets, thye could be removed, and the PCV line is on the opposite side, which also could be fixed easy.

Thanks! nah i asked for input so i appreciate everyones responses. Anywho, heres how it looks after the wrinkle dried and i sanded.

Edit: Oh and once again, this pic is after the valve cover got a bath to get rid of sanding dust, so ignore the wetness/spots it has on it.

    Re: Valve cover, 3geezers help!

    Update, finally

Could not get it to turn out right. I wanted to spray over the wrinkle finish, could not get it on even at all. Had some left over high spots, low spots, letters were jacked up, just didn't do a good job. SO
    Back to bare metal

    SHAVED

This time, I'm gonna fill up all those low spots you see, and get it powdercoated. I figure if i can get it nice and smooth, then they can put a permanent color on it and I'll be happy forever (lol)
