most likely a really dumb question

ok, so im swapping out the old carb for a weber right... do i even really need the o2 sensor anymore?
I mean, I know what it does and all and how it works with factory setup albeit carb or FI... but all that shit is going away, so whats the point of it after that other than if i want to run an A/F gauge or to test it on something like a dyno... which isnt happening anytime soon.
Probably a dumb question but im racking my brain to figure out a use for the thing after it gets the weber

Since the Weber is a non-feedback carb, you shouldn't need the O2 sensor anymore.
