That just pisses me off, just cause you have an older vehicle, they figure they can get away with it and it doesn't matter...of course cops don't care and unless you have collision/uninsured motorist, you're kinda screwed. Its like here when the bums smash windows on the parked cars looking for change, drugs, or to steal your shit. No respect for other peoples property.

What part of FL now? I lived there for more than my fair share.

That is one beauty of FL...having time and space for a parts car, no such luck here. I grew up in the Burg...bay area. I never did much in Gainesville...can't say I'm a Gators fan or wanted anything to do with UF. I pretty much stayed around the Bay Area, Sarasota, and Orlando.

If you have the parts, why not just replaced them and skip dealing with insurance and a salvage title?

just fix it or negotiate to see what they will pay without total, it's mostly cosmetic

the guy that did it came by again today and left a paper in my window with his name phone # and insurance info. if his insurance company is gonna give me money to fix it im gonna take it. even if it does mean a salvage title. im never gonna sell it.

    Re: sorry s.o.b.

Sucks dude. I totaled my 83 twice in four months, cost me a total of 135 $CDN to fix it. First time I smoked a deer, second time someone fired a beer bottle through the windshield. Luckily, the public insurance here likes writing cheques and telling people to get lost. Good thing my windshield was already broken, and insurance denied the original claim because it was snow weight damage, without evidence of "flying missile" damage. WTF. Guy with the beer bottle did me a favour.

    Re: sorry s.o.b.

Its the dot corners, or should be.. Damn, man, that sucks. If he had hit from the front, you'd be fine hah.. the front bumpers are crazy resiliant, but i guess that isnt an angle they thought you'd get hit from.. Shit. I have a spare 87 corner light from FL lol. But i guess if you can find one in the pull a part down there, itll cost 1$, and S&H is gona cost more than that!

Fuck the insureance, dude. Pull a part. Its dirt freakin cheap there.

    Re: sorry s.o.b.

Ya really just get a new fender/bumper/lights and you'll basically be back to normal, all for like 50$ at a pull-it.. My accident basically looked just like that and it cost me nothing to fix and the repair estimate was 1000$.
