There is one cardinal rule about buying/selling that these folks often seem to break. Any time you add the phrase "or best offer" to a listing it pretty much tells everyone that you will take less than the asking price. Better to either ask for a higher price and haggle down, or just state "make offer." I have been in purchasing as a profession for years and the first person to state a price has the weaker hand in a negotiation.
Yeah, but if you put "make offer" you're giving buyers the idea/chance to lowball the hell out of you, and ultimately annoy you. Just put the price and leave the rest up to being a salesperson.
Charlie, I agree with you. I do tend to forget that Craig's List gets a lot of dick-ass-brain-holes (DABH).
One last thing to end my part in thread-jacking:
When I put a for-sale sign in my third coupe's window and parked it at the end of my driveway on the street, it sold in under an hour. Craigslist takes one or two reposts over a couple of weeks!

yeah he's got somethign wrong with his pasting there. he was talking about the civic si for 2900 that was based off of classic car pricing. i hate to break it to you but an 86 is a classic now. remember in 1995 when people called 1970 cars classic, yeah 25 years old...
an 86 is as old as me, probably older because if it's an 86 it was probably made in 85 for the 86 model year. that car looks to be in great condition minus the wheels. i would give him 2k for it because it's an SI so it's fuel injected. those cars are rockets with swaps in them.
