yeah thats what i was thinking! the cars were the same style and everything. i call them "hoodrats" like rat rod and hood wagon.

i drive pretty carefully. but there were a couple broken hangers so i couldn't avoid hanging the flex pipe up on stuff. all better now. but my hood latch broke and the front bumper is still off cause it... well it didn't make it onto the rack.

but all will be fixed!

much appreciated! once i get a minute i'm gonna go ahead and take it down all the way and snap some teasers for you guys. stephen, my photographer friend, is really itching to shoot the car and the weather has been great for it and he has some really cool locaitons up his sleeve but i keep telling him i wanna get it down first lol

well i have a buttload of actual exhaust leaks from dragging holes in it and such so i can't tell. its just mellow, low, and quietish. no raspy ricey nonsense. and it fits the car nicely.


so my front shocks, at some point between yesterday and tonight, completely blew out. it felt like they had come out of the top hats (if you've ever lowered a honda and forgot the tapered washer on the shock rod) but they're still mounted. just totally blown. so gotta get and install those before sunday morning... and finish a customer's mazda timing belt... and fix an oil leak on another customer's camry... and autozone... and school...

holy balls.

oh and my tags are expired. got pulled over for that tonight haha.

^I got two good civic struts if you want em. Ill bring em to the meet if you think you can use em. They fit and they arent blown.

already ordered new ones. i'm not driving 4+ hours like this. its bouncing SOOOOOOOOOOO bad now. like it went downhill really really fast. but good news- new shocks means i can go lower! woot!

Bad news is unless your tophats are extended youll blow the new ones fast. Trust me. And ill bring the other ones anyway if you think you might use em. I probably never will.

Just extend your tophats man, itll only cost you about 15 bucks, and youll feel a big improvement in the front end, and you wont blow your struts.

i know i need to, but it won't be done by the meet, so i might have to replace them anyway. i'll just leave the bump stops in and hope they hold up for 9 hours of highway driving around atlanta.
