    Re: Hid Kit

All those ebay HID kits are made by the same few factories in china. As far as the warranty... Count on the company going "out of business" or changing name and contact info before you experience a failure.

I got mine from ebay but I haven't tested the bulbs since I have the other ones in use but they are good for that price if you don't wanna spend 80$ on a kit.

    Re: Hid Kit

the 6000k is going to be super close to the 5000k, i really would go with the 3000k if i had it to do over, i think i got 6 but i don't remember.

like geddy said, 50 dollar kit = no go.

they all "SEEM" legit, but it's like angus said, they're all the same. the point is to buy from someone who can warranty items for you... if you feel comfortable with the level of service provided go for it.

That is untrue. I have purchased 5 $50 kits from DDMtuning.com. Neither of them have failed, and I am going onto 3 years.

It could harm your harness. And cause damage to other wiring.

Right. I went with a EFX (euroeffects.net) high/low kit and they replaced 2 ballasts which may or may not have failed due to the flip ups pulling on the thin HV wires... Third one I sent in I never received a replacement. I also had a cheaper kit which I replaced the EFX ballasts with. Never had a problem with those wires as they were a heavier gauge than the EFX, but one eventually filled with water an failed. Low and beholden PlanetHID.com no longer exists.

If I did it again I'd go with slim ballasts and mount them in the retractors or use a replaceable (less than $10) HV extension cable.

I went with a 4300K high/low kit and it's plenty blue. Anything higher than 6000K is beaneresque. I know this is for driving lights, but for the headlights on our cars use a high/low kit with the magnetic bulb retractors and leave the end caps in place. Hella or autopal E-Code housings will be the only H4 housings that will handle the light properly. Don't be a cheap asshole and blind the shit out of the rest of us.

Any proper high/low kit will come with a relay and separate power source for the ballasts.

    Re: Hid Kit

I had a low kit and the light went everywhere but on the road. The shields on the bulbs aren't designed for the H4 conversion housings.
