That's the only way to do it right. I've painted a lot of small things in front of my garage and not even 2 min after I finish there's a bug or something else stuck to it (it"s like there attracted). That paint look BOMB!!!, it will look nice on the hatch. I think you should paint the whole hood the new color.

im impressed with the tape and masking job. Makeshift booths will work fine just hose down the floor and walls to keep the dust and dirt down. Bugs seem to have a death wish

I was going to ask what the reason was for prepping a stock bumper when you have the custom one you made..

Doing same colour bumpers or black?

Good question roach. Well as i was taking the custom bumper down from collecting a year of dust i realized i never finished the cracks that it had..there not that bad but requires fiberglass and resin wich i need to get..not to mention i have to smooth it out perfect as you can see. so i decided to use the stock for now since it was in pretty perfect condition.

im thinking of coloring the bumpers but at the same time im not sure if black bumpers would look good. i know they look sex on a white hatchie though thats for sure

I don't think I made a thread when I rebuilt my engine after I had blown piston rings so here's a few pics of the rebuilt engine....only 4,000 miles on he..runs like new.
