wheels??? if money was no object

What set of, off the shelf, ready to purchase wheels would you pick for your 3gee if your budget was [up to] around $3000.00??? Post up some pics and or links. I want a set of wheels that puts my 88 back on the chart!!

I'd definitely get some enkie mesh wheels for a clean factory look, or some te37 for a track car.

Spending a bunch of money on wheels won't set your car apart from the rest if they don't look right. If money isn't really an object, that will allow you to find wheels that really pop on your car. And buy really nice tires for those wheels.

If you're going to spend a bundle on rims, it's usually more about weight, strength and performance at speed. Most aftermarket rims are amazingly heavy. As you get the weight down, the cost rises exponentially.

Top choices for me would be Volk TE37V in 16" matte bronze, however most of my choices are no longer in production. 16" SSR 265's, 16" Work EWing Mesh, 16" Mugen M7's, 16" Spoon SW388... Too many choices, one day I will own them all! hahaha

CCW wheels are built to order, they can and will make you wheels to fit your car. Avant Garde is coming out with new 16" multi piece wheels soon which look really cool.

Exactly my thoughts. I want that pop factor. I dont want folks to think they have to stay within the "TireRack" budget to answer the question. Our cars are cool to us but it seems as though the car show peeps dont take them serious. 86-89s need some new shoes to show we mean business. the wrong set up, as you know, can wipe out the appearance of an entire build. but put a set of ADV.1s on a beater and you got a head turner. I want to raise the stakes a little.

I'd probably get a set of legit RS Watanabe wheels and get them restored.

Panasports. Pretty much the same as the RS Watanabe wheels. Less JDM, less copying, more baller.

If you want to turn heads at a show, restore the car clean as hell and put it together tastfully. Nice interior, nice paint, nice underbody, nice engine bay etc. You don't have to have a set of baller wheels to turn heads. If you had a really nice, clean 3g that was sitting pretty, it would turn heads just because you NEVER see 3G's at shows. Please don't throw a set of donks on it just to turn heads. You'll be turning them for all the wrong reasons IMO.

If i had the money i would get the enkei rpf1 because they are super lightweight. Buddy Club, Volk. You also have to remember about tires. when i had my 16 inch rotas my tires cost alot more than 15s or 17s. I went back to my civic si rims because they are easy to find and you can always walk out a tire shop spending less than 500.

I still personally prefer the Watanabes because the center of the wheel has less surface area and the spokes are smoother than on the Panasports. Also, I would have mentioned the Advan A3As, but they only made them in 4x114.3.

Me too five lug ftw and since $ is no object I would have custom wheels made by Foose or similar company
