    Wiring up the fans.

My fan controller died due to a flooded passenger floor incident, so now I have to hook the fans up to automatically come on with the key. I want them to come on whenever the car is running, or the key is in the "run" position.

What's the best place other than the stereo to connect the fan to?

My fan stopped working, I just ran a wire from the positive of the fan to my fog lights that has a switch, and it works fine now. Just have to have the switch on for the fans to work.

why dont you just run its own switch with a in line fuse

much safer then possible burning out your fogs

I have the fans on a switch now. I think that's what caused me to overheat and blow the headgasket (at least, I hope it's the gasket - all the coolant was in the oil pan when I drained it today): I probably forgot to turn them on.

Coolant in the oil pan = head gasket, more than likely.

I hope so. I'll know more when I get a 24mm wrench to get the EGR tube off the exhaust so I can finish pulling the head.
