I HATE most replacement plug wires, so mine are probably about 19 years old. Why? Because every kit I've tried has been WAY too long, and obnoxiously spaghetti like. Does anybody make a kit for our cars that actually fits well?

I've had good luck with whatever Napa's been giving me.

I just went to the honda dealer and bought replacement wires that were identical to the original. They were about $50, but since they were identical, they were very organized and easy to install. I'd imagine they'd work the best as well.
Napa wires:
Of course, I have scavenged all the holders from the wrecking yard too.

I'm with Messy on this thread. The custom wires are pretty nice. You can cut them to whatever length you want, and then sell the other 4 wires to someone else on 3geez.
The Accel customs that him and I split were like $40 for the set. Then I sold Messy the other 4 for $20. You could keep the other 4 for a rainy day.
I got the Accel custom set too and kept the other 4 as spare

i bought the accel 8mm wires, You custom make your own length.
I'd go with that.
plus you get 8 wires, so if u do screw up if havent made wires before you still have extras to get it right.
but u also have to buy the crimping tool if you dont have one. a cheap one will run about 20+/-
but its a good investment in the long run especialy if u have other cars you want to make wires for.
The units I recommend are Sumitomo, NGK and Magnacore. Though that depends upon what wire those custom kits come with. Steer clear of the house brands and less expensive stuff, because they are usually constructed with graphite and teflon cores. This means that they have teflon (or some other insulator) strings, with graphite powder fused to the surface. It's cheap to manufacture, and it wears out, so manufacturers have repeat business.
NGK, magnacore, and Honda OE Sumitomo wires are all constructed using a real copper wire wound around a core of something. Mostly Teflon. This makes them much more resistant to wear, while reducing the RFI much better than the carbon. I know that the high end wires from some other brands are copper conductors. But I don't know which ones for sure. Honestly, we don't bother looking for other brands because NGK is so good, and has such a wide distribution. We can get them anywhere.

well the acell have been around for a long time,so they have a pretty good reputation, I know a lot of people who run them and are happy with them. the ones i got have the copper core, they are part number 3008, they have the straight boots which seem to clear the exaust manifold pretty well. I went through about 20 boxes to find some with the correct dizzy boot and plug boot combo.

you can use regular crimpers if you are careful, if you look at a lot of universal automotive crimping tools, there's a spot for plug wire connectors. my Kline has one, I think the type he is talking about are the expensive racheting ones, you can do them fine without those if you need to.
Oh yeah, you can use anything. Like I did when my stupid 4g plug wire pulled out of the boot, leaving me stranded because Honda was too lazy to design decent wires. I sat and swore for an hour before jury-rigging the thing with a slip-joint pliers. Friggin stupid 4g. I pickin hate that car.

My MSD wires came with this tool that you use in a vise to crimp the terminals on.

but if you want the wire loom you have to order the optional bridgeport milling machine.
ok so this is somwhat of the same topic but i have burned up 2 sets of wires in the past 3 months, what could be causing this, and is there a set of "high-performance" wires that i can get to prevent it?
