yeah i never had any tranny issues what so ever. but less than 2 weeks ago i did change the oil with 5-30 oil and i was talking to pico and he said maybe 5th gear didnt get lubed as much and overheated.....when i got the car home it started working fine.....on wed im going to do a tranny flush and fill it up with honda ATF.

So, did only 5th gear not work? I dont know, but I use 10w30 oil in mine. I hope that doesn't happen to me, but I dont notice any gear whine or anything abnormal. And do you mean Honda MTF? I hope so, if you're talking about the LX-i. I was under the assumption that your LX-i was a Manual and your DX was an Automatic.

your right...its MTF new and improved formula. i was talking to the guy and he said he used GM syncromesh on his drag car but honda MTF on his Daily driver. i did notice that my 5th gear would whine at very low speeds like below 25mph...but i would just downshift since it was too low to do anything.

not that I know of... i was wondering bout him myself.
I did not get off work till 3:30.I figured all you guys would have left by the time I got there. How long did you guys stay? Oh well, there'll be another meet. I'm really jealous, seeing all those 3g's in one place. People who don't have one probably don't understand the attraction of this car or just can't believe why anyone feels the way we do about our cars. We know better, and that's all that matters.
I really enjoyed seeing all those pics and putting some faces to names.
Hope everyone had a good time and enjoyed the sights. (Sorry about the tranny, Messy.
I'm curious about what you guys thought of the drive and of Cambria???
the drive from san jose to paso robles is pretty easy.. driving the 46 out to cambria is fun especially when there's no slow ass cars in front of you. cambria seemed a bit too kitschy for me but some of the views were fantastic.
and we were there till pretty late.. the last of the socal gang left after it got dark. shoulda stopped by
