kung fu mistake killed my turn signal,

Im pretty new to the forum so forgive me, but I am in dire need of help

Do to a violent karate chop agaisnt my wiper stalk which snapped it I had to go a get a replacement this was all fine and dandy but after installing the new wiper stalk, my turn signals do not work

has anyone heard of something similar or maybe can suggest something Im missing

No turn signals from the left stalk and hazard button does nothing, I pulled it apart and found the switch which is more on or less looking fine

I'm sure we can help get that fixed, but how about some fill-in on the violent karate chop? Yours? Someone else's? Violent temper outburst? Angry girlfriend? Angry over girlfriend? Drug-crazed? Inquiring Minds Want to Know! This is definitely a new reason that the wipers stop working.

how did you get a new one? you usually have to replace the entire switch, and they are even hard to get sometimes

Wow talk about memories, haven't heard that in years. Also about the same time remember the song " My Dingaling"? Find that one.

Sorry for off topic but that brought me back in time.
My '66' GT I built. My first Hot Rod magazine Cover "Summer 85". I've had it for 32 years, since I was 18. It's a trailer queen. 289 Hi-po, t-10 Toploader 4speed, 9 inch rearend.

Re: kung fu mistake killed my turn signal,

Just today I was at Mike's house and we were looking at two setups: one from an '86-7 and one from an '88-9. They're different, and I don't know if they're completely interchangeable. The wiring on the inside changed.

Remember: If you have a coupe or sedan, don't get a switch from a hatch [and vice versa].

Re: kung fu mistake killed my turn signal,

I have an '89 LXi 4 door and just replaced the combo switch. Easier than I thought it would be. I hope your replacement of the switch works well. If it doesn't, you are welcome to my old wiper stalk (don't know if it comes off the switch).
