Sorry i was buzzed last night.
I knew they would fit, but what i really wanted to do was slide the intercooler under there too.
The bumper cover fit's over the pipes nice. You cant even tell that they are there with the bumper cover on.
why would you not put the battery there?
I removed everything that was attached to the stock manifold including the black box. I then ran new wires to the map sensor from the firewall area to the gm 3bar map sensor that is mounted under the manifold. you still need the iat, map, throttle position and the idle air control valve.. I think i am missing something though.

As you can see in the pic there are 2 spots i brazed together.
The spot in the middle of the car came out pretty good except I didn't Polish it enough. On the drivers side I had to braze it on the bend.
Let me explain. That particular bend was a U bend, and you know U bends are not perfectly round .
the brazing actually works very well, not the prettiest thing till you sand it smooth and Polish it. I purposely tried to break it and it held up fine.
I picked the stuff up at harbor freight and spent about $20 for the rods and polishing kit. Was it worth it. I think so.
Because in a wreck you either have a 60 Lb projectileor a damaged battery. Youd have to hit somethin pretty hard to hit it where you have it mounted, and i assume how you have it mounted is pretty solid. I think if you smacked it hard enough to damage the battery the battery would be your last worry anyway.
On those pipes, just be sure you won't have leaks.
all 3 inch piping?
Yes sir, I went with all 3". I know it's an overkill.

How far off the ground is that? Not that it matters, just curious.
The bottom of the tray is 7.25" . The front cross member is lower than the battery tray.
