This is so nervewracking! Ive done 2 or 3 coats on each and there seems to still be spots that are shinier than others. The color is perfect but I want it to be even!
Im trying my best, I hope it looks good. Cant say Ive done much with paint though so this is an adventure lol.
just let it dry between coats also invest in a spray handle helps get even coats
I got Krylon with the bad ass spray tip thing, it worked well. They turned out really nice, pretty even(I might do more coats down the road though) and Ill have pics up soon, touched up spots are drying and then on they go.

i think he's just saying that he thinks it's becoming the default thing to do if you get a white hatch. Granted it looks damn good (obviously), which is why I've kept mine like it is since '99, but maybe he was looking for someone to go outside of the norm.
I really want to see someone do a full white-out on a hatch again. There was a member in like '00 that had one like that, I just don't remember where he went, or what happened to the car.

I hated to conform to the trend(though it looks sooo good), but I am 17 and in high school and am working 30 hours a week to pay for insurance and gas. Getting my bumper repainted was way the hell out of my budget right now. Especially after the accident.

No worries on conforming to a trend. I still don't consider it a 'trend' because that means to me that it'll go out of style, and this is a classic look that's been around forever, and never gets old imo.
Anyway, it does look damn good.
That's DX power right there.
LX-i's had color-matched door handles and bumpers. DX had black handles and bumpers from the factory.
