True... so it will look like the rings are bad?... and i will get reported by environment fags for having a smoking car (its illegal for any car to smoke more then 10 seconds in cali, once its reported u have 30 days to get a smog check and pass or your car is deregistered!)
So yeah ill probaly pick up a spare head after winter season and start working on it over summer and install before next winter lol (smog check coming up in feb 2011)

you can use a long length of nylon rope to hold the valves up while you change the seals, you don't even need a compressor. you do need a valve spring compressor though. you put the piston near top dead center, feed a long length of the rope into the spark plug hole, now bring the piston up until you feel resistance, the rope will hold up the valves, turn the engine the other way when done, pull out the rope, do the next one.
^ no i didn't see her, but would have liked to
and this sounds like the best idea for the problem, just make sure the car you get the head from was in an accident like a rear ending so you're more apt to get a good engine component. when you go to the junkyard and the car is there in perfect condition it's usually a headgasket lol... either way get the head checked and surfaced, i would probably go as far to suggest having someone do the work for you if you could find someone to do it reasonably, or you could just practice over and over and if you get it wrong just do it again lol...

beware burnt up and broke cams in those too, look out for damage on the head itself where the cam ate it up
Yeah the junkyard just got a sedan in that's t boned... they also have a another sedan that was impounded from drinking and driving (that's what i think anyway... 2 bottles of vodka on the pass seat... personal belongs all over the car ... completely good shape car .. lol i know the jy gets all the impounded cars as well)
and yeah i plan to drop it off to get checked for any cracks and what knot and a resurface but will most likely do the P&P myself.. good practice too lol
Yeah i know that the F22 had a big problem with the cams snapping on them so i will keep an eye out to make sure that didn't happen.

1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
lol Well i like the focus and i hate it... i was hopeing to get a coupe back when they came out like this but i changed my mind after we rented a blue sedan...
Pros:
Sync (pure epic win, wish i could incorperate something like that in to the accord)
USB support
Heated seats
Apprance (coupe)
Comfortable interior
Proformance
Leather warped steering wheel
1 touch sun roof
Spacy
Cons:
Poor fuel economy for what it is
Harsh ride( a 19 year old accord with oreginal suspension rides smoother and quieter)
Burns oil after 10k miles
Stinks
Cheapness ( i know its not a word)
Its like a civic
Touchy brakes
Overall I would rather a Toyota or Hyundai over this car.

in the past month its only got 20 miles put on her, has no insurance right now as were not using it so haven't taking it on the streets much... plugs are a bit gummed up or something from all the oil in the cylinders so i need to clean them up or run it good and hard for a bit as it misfires...

CAH, why dont you just find a Lude at local JY and rip out its H22 or H23 block and swap it.. will be much less trouble, and you will have more potential in it.
As far as credit goes, I had one time a problem, but never again.. I say stay with cash, and save for all you needs rather to pay interest on cradit. you loose like 15% of your year income on those fees alone.. F...dat!!

I would say f credit cards, but they are nice to fall back on in case of emergencies, but seriously junkyard motor for the win... 150 for a long block at most of the upullit's or picknpull or pull a part... just find a smashed lude and get the motor! DO IT NOW!
