    Re: Tdurr's round two!

okay so first post of the 2015, and I got a short story.

So the other day i was on my way to the Junkyard searching for a transmission to rebuild on the side when i pull up to park, i was having a hard time getting into reverse. dont care at the time. Go do my thing at the yard. start the car to leave, push the clutch in to shift into first feels a little weird, then when i go to let off the pedal moved like an inch in a half. Come to find out the pedal assembly broke on the car. Run back into the yard and snatch one off a 89 lxi sedan and get it towed home.

    Pull it and find this:

This is how it is supposed to look for those that done know.

figured while the assembly was out of the car i should go ahead and put these on

Finished product of working on the car new years eve and the first!

Now once i get a transmission i need to throw these new parts & the lsd into the car.

Oh and i also got a few more things. I found a 1st gen teg lip!!! so stoked on that and my buddy with a e30 got me a duckbill(from a e30) for Christmas lol we will see how it works out at some point. and i fixed my speedo cable a few weeks back(after like 6-7 months haha) so now i have 2step again

Pedals are bad ass. I've always wanted to upgrade mine but if it ain't broke don't fix it. I would of done the same thing but with some momo pedals

    Re: Tdurr's round two!

my motto is "if its broke, upgrade it". lol i got those pedals for like 70 shipped the day they came out. They feel great and grip will. I was surprised honestly.

Buttt speaking of upgrading whats going bad... I finally got around to tearing apart the obx diff i have. There are many stories online of the poor quality of them, so a simple 30 buck kit to replace the bolts + washers, and deburr edges of the housing with a dremel. Took the bad boy apart

got to inspecting and found this,

OBX has stepped up their quality. people use to receive this:

Then to be 100% that i wasn't doing this for nothing i slid the spline onto a spare axle i have(Pete its just chilling man!)

nice and snug! So after putting some locktite on the bolts and tqing them down I was complete with a diff ready to be put in an accord trans!

    Re: Tdurr's round two!

Where did you get the info about the obx lsd. I've been telling people this for years to do exactly what you have done. The nice part is that if it does break it's got a life time warranty so you just take it out take the arp bolts out and send the dame thing back.
