pk so im a newbie and im sure this question has been asked over and over again sorry guys but i have a 88 lxi and i was wondering exactly what i need to do a conversion im still kind of unclear about it. i know you need to do an sei swap but where could i find the parts to do so could i order them off the internet or would i have to find one?

so you wouoldnt be able to order sei parts off the internet then huh that sucks balls so now i have to look around and try to find an sei... great what other upgrades could i get off the sei besides brakes??? any other uses for it

You need the following:
Rear hub assembly or the whole trailing arm.
E-brake cables.
Proportioning valve.
Master Cylinder unless you have an LX-i one already.
Front calipers unless you already have an LX-i.

Recommend:
New brake lines.
New pads and rotors.
Fluid flush.

well i do have the true lx-i so im not concerend about the fronts yet but the rears would be nice considering i did crash as a result of front brake lockage damn

just call a few junk yards and ask they normally know what they have but the sei wasent produced every year so your gona have to find out what years lol

well the 3g is 86 to 89 but i know there was at least one year that did not have an sei

you can normally tell an sei by badge or the gold tinted windows or the bose stereo and an armrest

The SE-i was only produced in 89' to my knowledge.

It was a "Special Edition," last model year, please-don't-go-buy-the-redesigned-Camry sweetener. They're rare and getting more so. Someone was selling a set of the rear discs in the Trading Post earlier this month. Not sure if they're still there.

As mentioned already, the SE-i was an '89 only, and only came in sedan or coupe, no hatch. All SE-i's had factory leather interior, and a cupholder insert in place of the cassette holder in the center console.

If I were you, just concentrate on getting the knuckles, caliper brackets, e-brake lines, and prop.valve. I would purchase reman'd calipers from AutoZone or some other parts store, and get bfg (or some other brand) stainless brake lines, along with a new set of rear rotors and pads. The hubs are the same, so if yours are good, and the donors are crap, you can swap them easily. Although it's much more expensive to get the new calipers, and lines, it's much safer.

yes i did buy it from southington. where you from??? how much cuz i am tryin to piece it back together gradually i got the original hood that was on it with some lund artificials but it doesnt look very good there cut out and have no true function or appeal to me so.....if your askin a resonable price im def. down to see what i can come up with

sweet thanks alot you guys are a real big help i wont be able to make the meet with my car but i can deff try to make it in onother honda at least considering mine is down ffor the moment i need to do a clutch and alot of body work before she can even be placed back on a legal street hahaha but yeah ill look asap thanks again
