Omg white hatches <3 I really look forward to seeing the progress on this![]()
What's that? Quoted The Facts or something different?
The sedan is in pretty rough shape and I'll probably give it to my tow-truck driver after I strip most of what I want out of it.
I just remembered last night that I have a BLUE sedan (it might be an 88 or 89, though...) that has really good seats and maybe some of the dash. I'll have to look real quick.
I was really excited to hear "The body is reallllly damn straight, but there's no battery," then I saw it...
The bumpers are way faded. I'll use my heat technique and see if I can make it look better, but if I can find white 88-89 bumpers, they will be on mine!

go to nappa, get several cans of that flexible bumper primer, the nappa pro brand, clean the bumpers really good, prime them with several coats, then wet sand the primer,it will sand super slick. now use some of that GM off white if you want white bumpers, the spray bombs, it's really close to greek white, which is what you have, probably NH 82 or something like it, as far as I know all white hatchbacks are greek white, other wise know as malox white, I think they are the only hondas in that color, I've heard rumors the color came from one of mr. Hondas old race cars,or one of the formula cars. In Japan the race cars are traditionally white. click on my site, look at the side bar, and click on pictures of the paint so far, full size full resolution of fresh Greek white, I used the factory color.

I think I'll put a battery in my new Honda today...

That's what I thought, but it was QTF.Thanks! I like it.
Got a little more time with it today. Tried to turn it over and it went Ruuh clunk clunk, ruuh clunk clunk, so I'm pretty sure it threw a t-belt. Oh well. I'll see if I can save anything from it, but now I'm pretty sure the tranny and brand-new carb worked perfectly before it broke down.
I'll maybe try to get it in the shop today and get it ready to pull the engine; then I can start cleaning it all up... Maybe I should pull the A3 out of mine before the A1... I don't know...
I looked harder at the interior, and the seats look really damn comfortable, so I may try to find the covers Lost suggested.

Ha, I thought that meant Quite F*cking True (dunno where i got that from.) Nice hatch though.
I would keep the blue interior, IMO It looks really good when its clean.

I'm really happy that it's still got the fog-light vents. I lost those on my sedan about a week after I started modding it.
The blue sedan has a good dash, except that it's been PAINTED!!! DAMN IT! and it was painted by some boy-ricer and there is over-spray on the parts they didn't want to paint... SOB... And the seats don't look very good. The hatch's seats look way more comfortable than the blue sedan's... I might look through a couple junkyards and salvage some good interior parts.
I love the look of the 88-89 bumpers, so I might just paint mine the same way.

i just dont like how the 88-89 front bumper looks with the 8687 rear... however all thats made for hatchs is 8687 rear no such thing as a 88-89 rear bumper style as hatchs never got facelifted bumpers...
and clear bumper lights are ricer lol

How about if I painted my grey dash?? Although it's already got blue high-lighted pieces... That might look cool!

i think a black dash or grey dash would look perfectly fine in a blue interior car... i know the like 93 accords got all black dashs with maroon and blue and tan interiors lol

I think I'll put most of my audio in the hatch today.

good steal bro!!
Thanks, again! lol
I bought a gallon of "Super Clean" cuz the tow-truck driver said the stuff in the purple jug was really good, and that's what my machinest uses to get the engines and heads clean, so hopefully I can find some time to start stripping the engine bay out and cleaning the left-overs.

hows the hatch coming along??
Well, I FINALLY got it in the garage for some quality time. Here's what I started.
And this is how it sits. My brother's buddy was smoking some meat, so I was distracted most the time, that's why it took me 2 hours!
I like the look of minimal wires.
Time to study up on wire tucking!

I'm just wondering where to put the battery and fuse panel... I could sure use the weight on that front right tire, but it's ugly as sin.

Fusebox in glove box or somewhere under dash, BAttery get one of thoses smaller sealed one and mount it by the spare tire ,
