I went 203 on the salt, but of course it was a purpose built race car, not a three g, I would have liked to have done the 7 mile track, but the car was getting unstable over 200 on the short track, and I kind of enjoy being alive. The sponsorship I had fell apart and I never got to go back. 240 Z on a tube chassis with a 427 Ford, this was in 1995, full race car basically with a 240 body on it.

Im running a bone stock 1989 honda accord lx-i (4spd auto). First gear took me up to about 35 to 40 miles per hour, second took me up to about 70-75 redlined. Third gear only got me up to about 110 before I hit the red line again. Then finally fourth gear got me up to about 125-130 then I hit cruise control and overdrive kicked in. Held that for about 20 miles.

when i had my coupe i hit 132 at around 5500rpm... now with the sedan i was able to get to 110 (gps aided)... my cluster is WAY off... it says im at 140 when im really doing 110... suspect a weak spring in the speedo needle

Re: Post Topout Mph (fastest 3g)

all analog speedos do that. ive sen a few speedo pics people have posted where they are going fast but their revs only say 4500rpm which means they are only going around 160km/h

look at the revs your doing at 100km/h in 5th and use that as a guide on how fast your going when your doing twice the revs lol

my car is 3000rpm at 100km/h 200km/h is 6000rpm etc etc

i dunno how fast 7200rpm is in 5th that would be my max speed in my b20a powered accord

checked odo for accuracy against transit nz odo check a while back, odo was spot on which suggests the speedo is right as well.
    115 km/h at 3500, so 7000 is 230km/h and 7200 would be 235-240km/h.
180km/h is piss easy with even a bog standard b20a.

Watch the language. Running top speed for less than an hour isn't that big of a deal, really.

Re: Post Topout Mph (fastest 3g)

I bought my accord from a guy upstate a few weeks ago so I had some time to drive her on the highway

We got it up to 120 mph easy and I really think 130 isn't out of the question. Any faster than that and I dunno, mine's all stock currently.
